I love this game I really do, it’s a lot of fun to play, it’s action packed with excellent graphics and engrossing gameplay, the controls are a bit awkward at first but eventually you get accustomed to them. Web of Shadows is a very addictive and fun game to play, the freedom while playing is just excellent, you can web swing all across the city, pretty much anywhere you want and the map is huge that you play on. Web of Shadows is unlike any of the other Spider-Man games out there to date, and quite possibly the best of them so far. Yeah Symbiotes, you’d better look out cause Spider-man is here to pummel you into oblivion, along with some help from friends in the newest addition to the Spider-man Franchise: Spider-Man:Web of Shadows.

Spins a web any size, catches thieves just like flies!

The most I can hope for is someone puts out a "realistic swinging" mod or whatever you might call it.“Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can! if you're like me, and buy Spiderman games for the swinging element, then you will be sorely disappointed by this game. You can't just hold on to a line and sway back and forth, and the sense of building up speed by releasing the web at the right time and doing tricks is totally gone. It felt like you had a bit of control over it.īut in this game, you hold the button, spidey casts a web, releases it, casts another, repeat repeat repeat. If you held the button, spidey would hold the web. In past games, you'd hit the web button, spidey would cast a web and swing. But somehow Beenox has botched this and made the swinging mechanic boring. The open world games usually are just a blast to skip out on the story for a bit, and swing around the city for fun. I personally think Web of Shadows is a bit better in terms of graphics and gameplay, but they both have one great thing in common: The web swinging. Spiderman 2 on consoles is still praised at the pinnacle of the series.
